Dry Needling /Acupuncture
While Chinese acupuncture is based on healing through eastern principles of correcting the energy flow of a person, dry needling involves relieving muscle trigger points and is practiced based on western principles hence it can be referred to as “western acupuncture”. Dry needling uses very fine, solid filament needles that may have an effect in the muscle tissue. This may signal the brain to initiate a sequence of events to assist in the repair of the area with new and healthy tissue. Acupuncture may assist with inflammation and blood circulation. Dry needling is available on its own. Alternatively, it is offered in conjunction with a remedial massage.
